Thank goodness for moments like this during this dreary rain time of year. The sun came out today and I am feeling like I can get some things done.
We stayed at Hiromi's last night for the big light up and this was taken right before heading downtown.
Sylvia was sitting on my lap at church* and she was all cozy and her hair smelled like soap and maple syrup and I thought, wow this is it. Really, how many more years do I have of my kids sitting on my lap (comfortably) allowing me to sniff their heads? Not many more, I can tell you that.
I want to go somewhere, preferably warm and bright and full of people, okay? Okay.
Jack has been fighting us on everything the past week, Halloween plus two birthday parties has made us realize that sugar has no place in our home. It is seriously not worth it to me. Plus it has been non stop talking from morning until bed. Sylvia has been retaliating by hoarding markers and drawing on his homemade Pokemon cards when no one is looking.
Ha! Jack just came down after his bath for his puffer and before I gave it to him he said, "Dad told me that I should not talk for a little bit after I take my puffer!". Hmmm...
* We have been going to the Unitarian Church and we all like it. I know I am curious about things like this, so here you go.
